Quote of the Week

So true...it is the choices we make in life that determine our life story.

Last Weeks Adventures

Last week we had a fun, busy time. It started on Sunday with Father's Day. We are truly blessed to have a patient, loving, smart, handy, adventurous Dad as well as a GREAT grandpa. We love you both a lot. Thanks for all that you do for us and the daily sacrifices you make for our well-being and happiness. BreeAnn was suppose to fly home on Sunday but was unable to get on a flight so it was great to have her be able to join us for a yummy Father's Day dinner at Aunt Jill's. Monday brought a trip to Logan to drop off Dallen to EFY. While Camron and I were up there we decided to stay a few days with Devan and Cody. They were good hosts. We ate well, went for plenty of walks to fun places and Camron watched 3 Star War movies which made him very happy. We went to Logan's little zoo and walked along the river to see the water crashing down at an amazing speed.

Camron and I drove home Wednesday. Thursday I went to 11 year old Scout Camp with Dad since he couldn't get another leader and Camron went hiking with Ashley and Jenny. Friday brought a trip to the cabin. Devan had arranged with some friends to do a race of sorts. We were hoping to just get in. We came around the first big bend and there was a 5 foot snow drift for about 50 feet. We were able to get around and then later in the day they had dug out a one car path to get through. Devan and Cody's friends were great and we had a fun time together. They started the race Saturday morning. They went to Cabin hollow to shoo guns. From there they ran back to the cabin, grabbed their bikes and rode about 13 miles down to Gooseberry Lake. At this point they were suppose to swim but it was tooooo cold, so they opted out of that event and just kayaked to finish the race. They were amazing!!!

We got home late Saturday night and had a restful Sunday and then we were off again. This time it was Cub Camp with my Scouts and Camron for Monday and Tuesday. Now we are enjoying some lazy summer days and trying to find some energy for the holiday weekend.

Hope your summer is going well!
