RASH !!!

Camron started getting sick the middle of December. His tonsils were bothering him a lot and he kept getting fevers that would come and go. Finally after New Year's we had enough and took him to the Doctor. We went through this exact scenario last year and knew he just needed to get on an antibiotic for a while. The Doctor agreed and put him on amplicillin (?). Camron took it for a week and a half and was feeling better until he woke up in the middle of the night last Wednesday and said he had a rash all over him and was itching bad. We now know that Camron is allergic to penicillin. The first three days were horrible for him. Along with the rash and itching his joints all became terribly swollen and hurt him a lot. The benedril we gave him put him right to sleep which became a problem because he became very lethargic and we couldn't get him to eat anything besides crackers and juice for a couple of days. Sunday he sat at the dinner table with his head down while I tried to spoon a few bites of food in his mouth. He said he just wasn't hungry and was too tired to chew. Starting Monday he started to finally feel a little bit better and the rash has continued to go away. Finally today he was able to go to school for half a day. When he came home, he planted himself back on the couch and took a nap for four hours. I had to wake him up out of a deep sleep to eat dinner. Jory has also been very sick and in bed for several days. He came home from the cabin trip Saturday night and went to bed with a fever. He didn't get up until late Sunday afternoon, only to get a snack and go back. Today he made it to work for half a day also and then had to come back home to bed. We are hoping to Lysol the whole house and hope to get everyone better SOON!
