Quote of the Week

So true...it is the choices we make in life that determine our life story.

Thanksgiving Day

Devan and Dallen wanted to do something fun Thanksgiving morning so we decided to join with the William's clan and do a 5k race (or walk). It was a little chilly but overall a gorgeous morning. We met them out in Eagle Mtn at 7:45 to check in and then after waiting long enough to get quite cold we headed off. Many of the group took off running while most of us enjoyed a pleasant walk. In the picture with Jenny and Ashley you can see a subdivision above Jenny's head (Ashley's new middle school to the right and then the next blob up is the subdivision). That is were we had to walk to and we had already walked a ways when I took the picture. It was an enjoyable event but my hips weren't too happy later on. We did win a prize !!! Certainly not for coming in first but for having the largest family to participate. They took our picture with the mayor and everything. I just hope no one sees it because I looked pretty scary! Dallen was a trooper and ran all of the race. The only bad thing was that he got there long before all of us and had to wait in the cold without a bathroom ANYWHERE! After pictures we had to wait at the end of the shuttle bus line to get back to our cars. He couldn't get to the bathroom fast enough once we arrived back at William's.
At one o'clock we met at my mom's house and enjoyed a fabulous Turkey dinner. It was fun to be together and we were all really glad that my Dad was having a good day and was able to join us for most of the activity. When he got worn out he went upstairs to his comfy chair and was able to watch some football with the boys. My heart was certainly full of gratitude for my family, our missionary Jacob, my dad's health as well as all of ours and the gospel. Life is GOOD!
